What the check looks for

The programs most families never claim.

Billions in Medicare help goes unused every year — not because of fraud or fine print, but because people assume they earn too much and never check. The limits are higher than most expect.

Prescriptions

Extra Help

The federal drug subsidy that can cut a parent's prescription costs to near zero — worth roughly $5,700 a year.

Premiums & copays

Medicare Savings Programs

Programs that pay the $202.90 Part B premium, and at the QMB level, deductibles and copays too.

Full coverage

Medicaid & dual-eligible

At lower incomes, Medicaid wraps around Medicare to cover what it doesn't — including long-term care.

Local help

State & local programs

State drug programs, $0 preventive care, and help with food and utilities — with your state's real contacts.

How it works

Three questions. A real answer. No sales call.

1

Tell us a little

Your parent's state and a rough sense of their income and savings. No account needed to start.

2

We check the 2026 rules

We run the current federal and state limits for where your parent lives — the same figures the agencies use.

3

See what to claim, and how

A plain-language list of what your parent likely qualifies for, what it's worth, and exactly where to apply — free.

Why trust a free tool

We earn no commission and enroll no one.

Most "free" Medicare help comes from a broker who gets paid when your parent signs up for a plan — so the advice bends toward the sale. MediNav sells no plan, recommends no plan, and earns nothing from what you decide. Our only job is to make sure your parent gets every benefit and dollar they're owed. That's a promise a commissioned advisor can't make.

Common questions

Straight answers.

Is it really free?

Yes. The check is free and always will be. There's no charge to see what your parent qualifies for or where to apply. A paid option exists only if you later want MediNav to keep re-checking as limits change each year — but the check itself costs nothing.

Will you sign my parent up for a plan?

No. MediNav does not sell, recommend, or rank any Medicare, Medicaid, or Medicare Advantage plan. We help you find cost-help and understand eligibility — the plan decision stays entirely with you and your parent.

Are you the government or an insurance company?

Neither. MediNav is an independent tool built for family caregivers. We're not affiliated with Medicare, and we don't sell insurance. We simply translate the government's own programs into plain language.

How accurate are the numbers?

Every figure is checked against the primary source — Medicare.gov, SSA, CMS, and each state's Medicaid office — and refreshed as limits change. This is a your-money product, so we don't state a number we can't source.

Do you sell my information?

Never. We don't sell or share your information, and there's no cloud of brokers waiting to call you. You start the check without even creating an account.
